Welcome to McCarthy Home Inspection("Company," "we," "our," or "us"). By accessing or using our website, services, and products, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use our services.
2. Services Provided
McCarthy Home Inspection specializes in a variety of contracting services, including but not limited to: Certified home inspections for single-family homes, condos, duplexes, and more. Ancillary inspections, such as sewer lateral, termite, gas, HVAC, radon, chimney, and septic evaluations. Home repair services including minor fixes, punch list repairs, drywall, flooring, painting, and deck maintenance. Any additional services will be specified in the respective agreement for the project.
3. Quotes and Estimates
All quotes and estimates provided are valid for 30 days unless otherwise specified. Pricing may change based on unforeseen conditions, property access issues, or additional services requested by the client. Custom repairs, specialty inspections, or unique materials may also affect final pricing.
4. Payment Terms
Payment must be received in full prior to the scheduled home inspection. For home repair services, payment terms will be outlined in the service agreement. A deposit may be required before beginning larger repair projects. Failure to provide timely payment may result in cancellation, work stoppage, or additional fees.
5. Project Timelines
While we strive to meet all scheduled inspection times and estimated repair completion dates, factors such as property access, material availability, or unforeseen issues may impact timelines. We will communicate any delays promptly and work with the client to ensure a timely and professional resolution.
6. Warranty
Certain services offered by McCarthy Home Inspection may include a warranty, as specified in the service agreement. For example, repair work may be covered under a limited warranty for craftsmanship and quality, while any materials used may carry a manufacturer’s warranty. Warranty coverage does not apply to damages resulting from neglect, misuse, accidents, lack of maintenance, or natural disasters.
7. Client Responsibilities
Clients are responsible for ensuring clear access to key areas of the property, including the attic, basement, electrical panel, furnace, water heater, and crawlspaces. Inspectors will not move furniture, personal belongings, or obstructions, in accordance with the InterNACHI Standards of Practice. Any components or areas that are inaccessible at the time of inspection will be noted as such in the report and will not be inspected. Additional fees may apply if a return trip is required to inspect previously inaccessible areas.
8. Cancellations and Refunds
Cancellations made prior to the scheduled inspection or start of repair work may be subject to administrative fees. Refunds will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis depending on the timing of the cancellation and scope of services already completed or prepared.
9. Liability
McCarthy Home Inspection is not liable for damages caused by pre-existing structural issues, natural events, or interference by third parties. Our inspections are non-invasive and visual in nature, as outlined in the InterNACHI Standards of Practice. For repair services, liability is limited to the total amount paid for the specific service rendered under the agreement.
10. Intellectual Property
All content including text, graphics, logos, documents, and images produced by McCarthy Home Inspection is protected by copyright laws and remains the intellectual property of the company. Unauthorized use or reproduction is strictly prohibited.

12. Communication and Opt-In
